My Cupboard Explained

Messaging

The messaging section of My Cupboard stores messages sent to and from members who may be interested in buying (or have bought) items you are selling or members who are selling items you are interested in buying (or have bought).

Members are able to use this function to ask questions about certain items being sold through The Cupboard. If you are the seller of an item being inquired about you may choose to publicise the question to help other prospective buyers.

Bidding

Current Bids - Displays any items you are currently bidding on.

Won Items - Displays all items you have won and the item payment status. If you have not yet paid for the item a multitude of options will be available to you. If the item has been listed with a direct payment method a "Pay Now" button will be visible. If the item has not been listed with a direct payment method you must use the "Contact Seller" option to arrange payment with the seller of the item you have won.

Once you have sent your payment the seller may update the payment status (i.e. set the status to "Payment Received") allowing you to keep track of your purchase.

Invoices Received - You may request an invoice from the seller of an item you have won. The invoice will show the full amount owed for an item (including postage) and can be stored for your own personal records in this section of My Cupboard.

Watched Items - This section displays a list of items you are currently watching. See Item Watching in the Guide to Buying.

Favourite Storerooms - Allows you to control the list of Storerooms (if any) that have been set as your favourites.

Selling

It also provides you with various options and information such as: where the item is being listed (auction or storeroom), start and end date, number of bids placed on the item, start bid, highest bid and edit/delete functions.

Items with Bids/Offers - Displays a list of your "bid on" items and provides similar functions to those of the "Open" items section.

Scheduled - Items you have set to start selling on a future date. These items have not yet been listed but the fees have been calculated.

Closed - Auctions that have finished with no bidders or a reserve price has not been met. This page allows you to to re-list the closed items at a reduced rate of 50% less than the original fee.

Drafts - Items that have been drafted, but have not been listed nor the fees calculated.

Sold - Items that have been sold to a high bidder. Here you can control various aspects of the sale, such as: quantity required, payment status, sending an invoice to the buyer and contacting the buyer.

Invoices Sent - An archive of the invoices you have sent to various buyers. Invoices can be kept for your own personal records or for business purposes.

Fees Calculator - Helps to quickly calculate listing fees without having to list an item.

Prefilled Fields - This section is designed to help you save time when listing your items. Many aspects of a listing can stay the same, such as postage information and auction duration. You can use this function to fill in those fields for you so you do not have to re-type them everytime.

Block Users - Allows you to stop certain users from buying your items.

Suggest a Category - Allows you to suggest a category to be added. Perhaps you couldn't find the one into which your item falls?

Reputation

When an item has been purchased via The Cupboard on Mums Making Money, we would like you to share your selling/buying experience with other members. Using the reputation section you can do just that.

This section allows you to view and send comments about items you have bought and sold.

About Me

Here you can edit your public "About Me" page and profile. You can use it to tell other members a little bit about yourselves. The built in text editor makes adding styles and links to your page very simple.

My Storeroom

For detailed information on how to set up your Cupboard Storeroom (online shop) please see the Guide to setting up your Storeroom page.

There may be a small fee for posting a wanted ad.
